We understand that our customers use our lights in many different ways, so
we offer lots of different configurations to meet your needs. This variety is
great, but it can lead to some confusion.
One of the main things to consider is whether you need a photocell on your light. The photocell automatically powers the system on at dusk and turns it off again at dawn. If you use the system as a dock light, this is a necessity to make sure that the light does not continue to run during daylight hours. If you plan to leave the light to run in the same location every night, the Dock Light Systems are ideal.
If you plan to use the light primarily from a boat or pier and only want it to run while you are present, the Portable HID Fishing Light Systems will work great for you and will run as long as they are plugged in.
For a combination of the two applications, we created our Dual Purpose Systems which feature the same great cases and protective cages as our Portable HID Fishing Lights, but also include a photocell so that they can be left unattended like our dock lights. If you want a dock light that you can use intermittently at a vacation property for example, the Dual Purpose Systems is the obvious choice.
