Replacement Protective Bulb Cage for Underwater Lights

Our replacement bulb cages are specifically engineered for compatibility with Underwater Fish Light bulbs and housings, providing added protection in demanding marine environments.

PRO CAGE: The two-piece, mold-injected Pro Cage snaps together easily to help protect your bulb from damage that may occur during shipping, installation, or everyday underwater use. While the cage offers valuable protection, it may not be necessary for every setup. If you’ve experienced bulb breakage in the past, we strongly recommend using the Pro Cage. However, if your bulbs have remained damage-free, replacement may not be required. Please note that the Pro Cage fits all Underwater Fish Light bulbs purchased after December 2020.

ORIGINAL CAGE: Our Original Cage features a durable one-piece wire mesh design compatible with bulbs purchased prior to December 2020. The cage slides over the bulb and secures firmly at the base using heavy-duty zip ties for reliable protection.

Under normal operation, our bulbs generate enough heat to help prevent barnacle growth. When a cage is installed, this natural deterrent is reduced, and marine buildup may occur over time depending on your location. Cleaning is simple — remove the light from the water and soak the bulb and cage in undiluted white vinegar for at least 24 hours. The vinegar will break down calcification, allowing any remaining residue to be wiped away easily with a towel.

NOTE: Bulb cages are designed to reduce minor damage but will not protect against boat propellers, hulls, or other significant impact that could occur within the marine environment.
