Slips easily over your underwater wire to protect against fish hooks and hazardous seafloor conditions such as oyster beds, sharp rocks, or debris.

While our systems are built tough to withstand harsh marine environments, some heavily fished waterways experience issues with anglers accidentally hooking underwater light wires. This heavy-duty protective sleeve provides an added layer of defense in those conditions.

Made in the USA, this protective sleeve is available in lengths from 20 to 50 feet and easily slides over your wire to help prevent damage in high-risk areas.

Customers may choose a shorter section to protect the wire near the light assembly or select a longer length for additional coverage. For those protecting the entire wire run, discounted 50-foot sections are available.

Installation Note

For approximately 99% of installations, the light assembly should be positioned 1–3 inches above the weight. Keeping the light as low as possible in the water column helps protect it from boat propellers and typically produces the best results. Cutting a short section of this protective sleeve to cover the area between the light assembly and the weight provides additional protection against anglers hooking the wire.

Protective sleeve lengths can be cut to fit your exact needs or combined for extended wire-length systems.

Orders that include wire shields will also include zip ties to secure the sleeve to your wire, with one tie provided per foot.
